Looking for something to do this coming week? You might want to consider these ideas.
1. Sobban Korean-Southern Diner
This new Decatur eatery serves a number of eclectic dishes, including knife-cut noodles, sweet chili salt-and-pepper shrimp, and house-made dumplings. For us “night owls,” the restaurant offers a late-night menu from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. On the late-night menu, you’ll find items like Korean-style "college" ramen. There are only 40 seats, but early reviews indicate that the food is worth the wait. Sobban is located at 1788 Clairmont Rd., Decatur, GA 30033.
2. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
All right Hunger Games fanatics, Part 2 is finally here. As usual, you can catch the midnight premiere at theaters like Atlantic Station or Midtown Art Cinema. I’ll be honest: the second trailer convinced me that I should watch the film this weekend.
3. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
If you don’t have classes on Tuesday, November 26, you might want to check these guys out. They have been known for their “hard rock” holiday music for the past 20 years. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth. They will be wrapping up their “Lost Christmas Eve” show, which played in more than 100 venues in 2012.
